Tomorrow!

With my exam now in just 18 short hours or so, it’s starting to feel really surreal.  Everything I’ve done this whole year has been, at least ostensibly, in preparation for this test, and it felt like it would never actually roll around, but here it is.  It’s going to be really strange when it’s over – but then I’ll be in France =)  I think I’m ready, but I keep worrying about not being able to ask a question – I think I’m most worried about not being able to remember something that I’m sure I knew at some point and have since forgotten…it just seems too likely.  My head is too small to fit everything in it that I’ve learned all year and all through college.  I guess we’ll see!

On another note, Jon and I are putting together our itinerary for the trip, and before we go we’ll put it up on a website.  For now, we just have a basic route map of where we’re going here.  So excited!!  We leave early Thursday morning and get into Paris early Friday morning, and then we’re headed off to Normandy first thing.  Jon’s phone plan includes international calls, so we should be accessible the whole time we’re there, and we’ll also have the internet at least at some places.  I’m kind of nervous, but I think it will be great.  We’ve been practicing our French…it’s been a while =).

About meg

I think planets are cool! I'm a new graduate student in Planetary Science at Caltech, and at the moment I'm interested in planetary geophysics of terrestrial planets and moons. I'm originally from Cortlandt Manor, NY, and I did my undergrad at MIT, where I got heavily involved in student theater - a hobby I hope to continue through grad school, time permitting... I also like to read sci-fi/fantasy novels, obsess about English history, and play frisbee.
