AGU preparations

Well, it’s time for the big annual American Geophysical Union conference again, and I’m just glad this time it doesn’t overlap with my finals week.  I have a poster to present this year on my Mercury project, and it’s supposed to be printed in an hour or so from now.  I’ll try to post a link to a small version of it or something.  It’ll be fun to go to the conference again, but I’m a little stressed out about leaving again so soon after just having gotten back from Thanksgiving.  I’m going straight home for the holidays after the conference, and then to Denver for a family reunion.  I’ll be gone for almost 3 weeks!  During that time I’m hoping to make some progress on TACIT’s website.  I’ve started helping out the interim director get his act together (no pun intended).  He doesn’t even have an administrator, and he really needs one.  *fingers crossed* that I can get some more undergrads interested in a student theater group so that things will run more smoothly..

I woke up a little sick this morning, so I’m trying to take it easy.  Blah.

About meg

I think planets are cool! I'm a new graduate student in Planetary Science at Caltech, and at the moment I'm interested in planetary geophysics of terrestrial planets and moons. I'm originally from Cortlandt Manor, NY, and I did my undergrad at MIT, where I got heavily involved in student theater - a hobby I hope to continue through grad school, time permitting... I also like to read sci-fi/fantasy novels, obsess about English history, and play frisbee.

Aww, I’m sad I’ve been so behind on blogs! (My reader broke and I just fixed it today… too busy with holidays & finals to get to it earlier :-/) We should get together the next time you’re up here a conference 🙂

    BTW — Congrats!!

Thanks! I hear congrats are in order for you too =) How’s all the planning going? I’m a little intimidated by the prospect of doing all that and trying to be a good grad student, etc.
