Did you know that the month of July was named after Julius Caesar in the aftermath of his assassination? It replaced the month of Quintilus, so named because it was the 5th month of the year then.
No parties for me today, I’m afraid – I’m kind of partied-out at the moment. Frances had a pirate-themed birthday party on Wednesday and last night we did a “Progressive Pedestrian Potluck” with some other Caltech-ers, where we had a course at each person’s house. It was fun =) But not good for my work ethic.
