Parents visiting

This week is especially crowded, because it’s a long weekend and my parents are here to visit until Thursday morning, and then I’m going to Phoenix to visit Jon’s family next weekend.  So I tried really hard to get most of my week’s worth of homework worked on, and I’m doing all right so far… It’s still kind of stressful, but nice to get out and do tourist-y things for once.

Today we went to the La Brea Tar Pits in the middle of LA, which was neat and geology-ish and a small enough museum that we didn’t wear ourselves out seeing it all. Tomorrow is the Huntington, since my parents haven’t gotten to see the old books, and that’s the best part =)

Anyway, busy week ahead, but also fun I hope!

About meg

I think planets are cool! I'm a new graduate student in Planetary Science at Caltech, and at the moment I'm interested in planetary geophysics of terrestrial planets and moons. I'm originally from Cortlandt Manor, NY, and I did my undergrad at MIT, where I got heavily involved in student theater - a hobby I hope to continue through grad school, time permitting... I also like to read sci-fi/fantasy novels, obsess about English history, and play frisbee.
