Mail troubles

My roommate and I haven’t been receiving mail for about a week, so I finally called the post office to find out what’s up.  Apparently the carrier says that there was a ‘red vacancy slip’ in my mailbox last week, so they started returning mail to senders.  I have no idea why they thought they saw that in my mailbox…I’ve checked it every day and it’s been empty.  So someone screwed up, and now I’m missing a couple of important checks and things =(

What a pain! And how random can you get?

At least no one’s stealing my mail…it could have been that…

About meg

I think planets are cool! I'm a new graduate student in Planetary Science at Caltech, and at the moment I'm interested in planetary geophysics of terrestrial planets and moons. I'm originally from Cortlandt Manor, NY, and I did my undergrad at MIT, where I got heavily involved in student theater - a hobby I hope to continue through grad school, time permitting... I also like to read sci-fi/fantasy novels, obsess about English history, and play frisbee.

My absentee ballot accidently got sent to my parents instead of me … My mom took it to the post office and mailed it on Jan 11. The mail people told her it would take a few days… It still hasn’t arrived 🙁 The post office has disenfranchised me!

Wow, lots of mail problems. I think my carrier just made a mistake or something. Oh yeah, Florida’s primary is very soon. That’s too bad. You could try to last-minute register in CA…

I could, but I’d much rather vote for the President in Florida than California 🙂 I guess I’ll just skip the primary this year… 🙁
