Home for Christmas

Got home last night, after driving up to NY with my sister and her husband.  My stay in Washington was fun – got to see my friends, Shannon and Brian, a couple of museums, Sweeney Todd the movie, and a comedy show.  It was a good trip =)

I thought Sweeney Todd was a pretty good movie version of the play, although I do think the chorus bits would have made it even better, and I don’t think they vilified Judge Turpin enough.  I also find it hard to dislike Alan Rickman, so that doesn’t help either.

Christmas Eve is tomorrow, so there’ll be a midnight church service with pretty music and candles.  I’m trying to take it easy and get to the point where I’m bored enough with vacation that I want to get back to work…not there quite yet, but workin’ on it =)

About meg

I think planets are cool! I'm a new graduate student in Planetary Science at Caltech, and at the moment I'm interested in planetary geophysics of terrestrial planets and moons. I'm originally from Cortlandt Manor, NY, and I did my undergrad at MIT, where I got heavily involved in student theater - a hobby I hope to continue through grad school, time permitting... I also like to read sci-fi/fantasy novels, obsess about English history, and play frisbee.
