I’m done! At least with all the pre-Thanksgiving stuff. I’ll have plenty to worry about when I get back and a little to worry about while I’m gone.
Things are going all right. My second project idea (Jupiter atmosphere stuff) got vetoed because the methods would be too close to the Mercury project (both large models). Apparently at least one of my projects has to deal with reality. Heh. That’s all right, though. I wasn’t sure it was up my alley anyway.
I finally went to the med center about the cold I’ve had for the past month and they gave me antibiotics for it. I was kind of surprised with how easy it was…no pharmacy necessary. The nurse just came back with two bottles and wrote my name on them. I hope I start to feel better now, finally.
I’ve got a red-eye flight to Washington, D.C., where my sister lives, tonight, and I’m a little nervous about getting to the airport on time since it’s Thanksgiving. I’m taking a shuttle, so I hope they know what they’re doing. I’m looking forward to not being in Pasadena for a bit.
Also, I finished my mosaic project (yay), and I’m taking it with me to give to my sister, even though it’s a little overdue. Picture forthcoming. I hope nothing happens to it if I pack all my clothes around it and check my bag…I can’t decide if carrying it on would be better, since it’s an awkward thing to put in a carry-on bag. It has to make it there in one piece, though, after all the time I spent on it!
That’s all – I’m about to leave work, after I decide what all I need to take with me to work on/think about. I also have stuff to read for fun =)
