My first week is over!

That’s right, one week down and nine to go. I think they might go pretty quickly, but we’ll see.  So far I like all of my classes, although I haven’t actually registered for any of them yet (oops).  Luckily there’s an add date (same as MIT) in a couple of weeks, so I have plenty of time.  One thing I’ve realized:  I’m going to be very pressed for time very soon.  I’ll probably have to go back to working late at night on psets, which I haven’t done for a couple of years.  I want to buy a bike soon, especially since Jon bought a bunch of furniture and will soon be able to actually live at his new place…with my time deficiency and his distance from campus (~1.5 miles), I may not see him very much otherwise.  I’m not too keen on scheduling the half-hour walk into my day anymore, at least not when it could be a 7-minute bike ride.

About meg

I think planets are cool! I'm a new graduate student in Planetary Science at Caltech, and at the moment I'm interested in planetary geophysics of terrestrial planets and moons. I'm originally from Cortlandt Manor, NY, and I did my undergrad at MIT, where I got heavily involved in student theater - a hobby I hope to continue through grad school, time permitting... I also like to read sci-fi/fantasy novels, obsess about English history, and play frisbee.
