It feels like fall!

Well, kinda. In the mornings and evenings. If you don’t expect the leaves to change. It did get a lot cooler since last week, and for that I’m very grateful…106 degrees is not what I would choose, and the humidity–while better than Boston’s–still gets to me.

Anyway, I can’t believe it’s already a whole week into September! I guess the long weekend made the week go fast. Two more weeks until orientation, and then classes start October 1.  Weird quarter system.

I went to my first group fitness type class at the gym yesterday, “cardio kick.” It pretty much got the best of me, but I feel better for having gone. Unfortunately, I think my adviser saw me flailing and basically looking like a fool, heh. It turns out he’s like a super-good squash player and practices there all the time, and the squash courts are right across from the fitness/dance room. Oh well. I was bound to look like a fool before too long anyway. I’ll get used to it =).

About meg

I think planets are cool! I'm a new graduate student in Planetary Science at Caltech, and at the moment I'm interested in planetary geophysics of terrestrial planets and moons. I'm originally from Cortlandt Manor, NY, and I did my undergrad at MIT, where I got heavily involved in student theater - a hobby I hope to continue through grad school, time permitting... I also like to read sci-fi/fantasy novels, obsess about English history, and play frisbee.
